These are songs from a file folder titled "old songs" as that is what they are. The first four were staples of my coffee house sets and date from around the year 2000. For some reason they weren't recorded for the "Songs of Lust and Pain" mini-album (from which this EP gets its title). Perhaps they were written slightly later. Or maybe because they were the most revealing of my overtly autobiographical songs about the unhealthy relationship I was in.

Uplifting bonus track "In The Best Times" was written around 2007, recorded in 2017, and added to the EP in 2020.
